How that compares

Every operator in Plettenberg Bay visits the same colony at Robberg, and published prices for the swim sit close together. The useful comparison is what the price covers.

Check four things before you book anywhere: time in the water, whether photos are free, the size of the group, and whether a guide gets in with you.

Swimming with seals in Cape Town is a different trip to a different colony. We compare the two honestly in Plett or Cape Town?

Price questions

Do children pay less?

No. Every guest needs a full seat on the boat under maritime safety rules, and a full set of kit, so children pay the same as adults. They do tend to get extra attention from the crew.

How do I get the group price?

Book 4 or more swimmers in one booking and each swimmer pays R1 195 instead of R1 295. The booking form applies it for you.

How do I pay?

Online by credit or debit card when you book, through the secure checkout of the booking system we use. You can also ask at the office in the Central Beach car park whether there is space on the day.

What if the trip is cancelled?

If we cancel because of weather or sea conditions and you cannot move to another time, you get a full refund. See the weather and cancellation policy.

Are photos really included?

Yes. The guide photographs each trip and you receive a link to the photos. A custom edited video of your trip is an optional extra at R200.
